A & J Lawrence was established in Portchester, by brothers Tony and Jon, in 1988. The brothers combined their skills and started the business, established as A & J Lawrence Vehicle Repairs, in a leased unit, in Castle Street.

 

The business was based in Castle Street for seven years and gained an excellent reputation. It was then decided to expand to a larger site; this location was found at Southampton Road in Cosham.

 

Another eight years, with a continued growth, Tony and Jon decided to look for a site that could be purchased and house their growing business. In 2003 a site was found approximately half a mile from Southampton Road. The new 44.000 sq. ft. building in Northarbour Road Cosham,Portsmouth, was opened in March 2005. It has spacious work areas and a facility that gave the customer a ‘One Stop Shop’ for all their vehicle’s needs. A dream had come true.

 

A & J Lawrence now have 40+ employees including highly qualified technicians in the workshops, a customer care team, estimators, a management team and support staff.

 

Customers vary from private individuals to fleet managers and insurance companies. No matter who the customer, our focus is on customer satisfaction and to achieve the best possible outcome for them and their vehicle.
